Wefit, iOS Software Engineer

Since May 2025

Digital banking and insurance product for Porto, used by more than five million people. Swift and UIKit on a modular VIP architecture, with REST APIs, Firebase Analytics, XCTest / XCUITest and CI/CD.

5M+

People using the product every day.

~60%

Faster feature development after I led the Design System migration from UIKit to SwiftUI.

~50%

Faster UI delivery after implementing core components of a Server-Driven UI architecture.

Design system

Led the migration of the product's Design System from UIKit to SwiftUI.

Server-driven UI

Implemented core components of a Server-Driven UI architecture.

Architecture

Feature development in Swift and UIKit on a modular VIP architecture.

Quality

REST APIs, Firebase Analytics, XCTest / XCUITest and CI/CD pipelines.

Products I designed and engineered

Seven shipped iOS products: an award-winning SwiftUI experience, an augmented reality game, two narrative games, and apps across well-being, skincare and watchOS.

Hidden Stories

An interactive experience that surfaces the stories and contributions of women in science and technology. Illustrated scenes introduce each figure, and her story opens as a reading card in place, with content served over a REST API.

  • SwiftUI
  • REST API
  • iPadOS

Problem

These contributions are rarely told in a form people actually want to explore.

Approach

A guided, illustrated narrative in SwiftUI with story cards opening in place.

Platform

Built for iPad, with content and copy delivered from a REST API.

Result

Winner of Apple's Swift Student Challenge 2024, 350 selected worldwide.

Augmented reality, single player

Immersive storytelling, puzzle solving and spatial interaction: the story object is anchored in the player's own room with ARKit and RealityKit, while Swift Concurrency keeps the interaction responsive.

Challenge
Make the room part of the puzzle
Stack
ARKit, RealityKit, Swift Concurrency

Fashion-tech

Personalized clothing recommendations generated from body type, style preferences and weather conditions.

The interesting part is not the catalogue, it is the decision: three inputs, one outfit, and a design system that keeps every recommendation card consistent as the product grows.

Narrative puzzle game

An interactive narrative puzzle game where investigation, time travel and timeline disruptions shape the player's journey, and scenes, props and sound cues all carry evidence.

Well-being

An iOS well-being experience designed around personal goals, reflection and everyday routines, with handwritten input and personalized journaling persisted in Core Data.

Skincare

Routine building, product tracking and skin progress over time. Onboarding asks only what changes the routine, and the whole interface runs on its own SwiftUI design system.

watchOS

Sleep routines and personalized interactions on Apple Watch.

A companion app built for the wrist: short interactions, HealthKit data and REST APIs, designed for a glance before bed and a glance after waking up.

About me

Where architecture meets interface craft

I work across the whole surface of an iOS product, from architecture decisions and design system foundations to the last few points of spacing. Three years in production taught me that the interesting problems live where engineering constraints meet interface craft.

Server-driven layouts. Migrations that cannot break the app for five million people. Components other engineers will build on for years. And, outside work, my own products across augmented reality, games and well-being.
